THEREFORE BPW CANADA urges the Minister of Health, Medical Devices Bureau to mandate:1. that all devices (including gloves) containing latex be clearly marked as such, not only on the packaging but also on the product itself.2. that the term hypoallergenic” be removed from the labels on any product as this term may be misleading.3. the banning of powder as a glove lubricant and donning agent as this will significantly decrease the exposure to latex to everyone.FURTHER BPW CANADA urges Health Canada to provide research funding to assist with the research needed to identify other new risk groups and new risk factors and treatments and find a suitable alternative to latex.”
