THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada commends the Government of Canada on action taken and urges the Government of Canada to expedite the passing of Criminal Code amendment concerning female genital mutilation tabled by the Government of Canada, Minister of Justice –Bill C-119, an Act to amend the Criminal Code (child prostitution, criminal harassment and female genital mutilation).FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT once this resolution is passed by convention it should be faxed immediately to The Honourable Allen Rock, Minster of Justice.
