THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the CFBPWC request the Federal Government, in cooperation with the Canadian Medical Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Psychiatric Association, and the Canadian Mental Health Association, to found forensic clinics as a service to the Courts, Probation Staff and Parole Boards:a) in determining the type, length and place of sentence;b) in giving treatment, when indicated, while the criminal is incarcerated;c) in determining the advisability of probation; andd) in providing guidance where probation is granted.FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT the matter be referred to the Provincial Organizations for presentation to their Provincial Governments.(See also Resolution 1948, Section 600.10)
