THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that BPW Canada urges the Government of Canada, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Status of Women and the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration to elevate the issue of child marriage as a foreign policy priority, and to use diplomatic means to eradicate child marriage in countries that perpetuate this human rights violation; FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that BPW Canada urges the Government of Canada, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of the Status of Women, and the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration to use their economic power to encourage Non-Governmental International Organizations to work towards eradicating child marriage
