THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada petitions and lobby the Government of Canada and through its Provincial Organizations to petition and lobby their respective Provincial Governments and the Canadian Dental Association: 1. To enforce the use of descriptive wording to describe the types of fillings available as not to confuse the consumer requiring dental services. 2. To ensure that an awareness program be developed to allow individuals to choose or not to choose mercury fillings or other substitutes. 3. To make informed consent mandatory in the delivery of dental services by all practitioners in the dental industry.
