THEREFORE BE IE RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada strongly urges the Federal Government to further amend the criminal code to protect all victims of violence, particularly sexual assault victims, from being directly cross-examined during a trial by the accused perpetrator of that violence and make it mandatory for the court to appoint counsel.
