THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada recommends that the Government of Canada amend the Canada Elections Act, Section 18, Preparation of List of Electors”, Schedule A, Rule 23, as follows:Each pair of urban enumerators shall the preliminary list of electors, as indicated on the form referred to in Rule 22, register the names of electors as follows:(a) each elector shall be registered under the surname and initials of the given names by which the elector is known in the Polling Division.(b) DeleteSchedule B, Section 18, Rule (6)A rural enumerator shall, in the index book, as indicated in the form prescribed, pursuant to sub-section 18(26), register the names of electors as follows:a) each elector shall be registered under the surname and the initials of the given names by which the elector is known in the Polling Division.b) DeleteAND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT Form No. 8 and Form No. 24 be revised by eliminating the column headed “Sex of Elector” and the column headed “Occupation”.”
