THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW CANADA urges the Government of Canada to continue to support post secondary education without further cutbacks and increase available grants to deserving post secondary students to help ease the financial burden of Canada�s future students. FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW CANADA petitions the Government of Canada to design a new student loan entitlement that allows mature students to access funds without being required to liquidate assets which provide for the future, as unemployed or under qualified mature students returning to acquire post secondary education have a shorter career span than traditional students after graduation and difficulty in re-acquiring assets needed for retirement is increased, especially in the area of RRSPs and other pension benefits.
