THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada urges the Government of Canada to act immediately to ensure that the protective rights and benefits available to full-time federally-regulated workers be made available to part-time federally-regulated workers on a pro-rata basis.FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada urges their Provincial organizations to urge their Provincial/Territorial Governments to act immediately and to ensure that the protective rights and benefits available to provincially/territorially regulated full-time workers be made available to provincially/territorially regulated part-time worker on a pro-rata basis.NOTE: The 80th International Labour Conference addressed part-time work and conclusions were adopted which proposed the adoption next year of a Convention and a Recommendation. The National Women’s Reference Group on Labour Market Issues did not make reference to Part-time Work/Workers in its summary report on the Group’s second Annual Consultation.
