THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada urges each Provincial Organization, where applicable to requests its Provincial Government to re-shape Provincial laws to better protect the rights of married women under the circumstances set out in this resolution with a view to providing wives with a more equal division of assets accumulated during the marriage term, in all proper cases. The general purpose of this resolution is to provide married women with a legislative atmosphere for a better position before the Courts than they now occupy; andFURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada investigate whether pre-marriage contracts might assist married women in the furtherance of the objects of this resolution.
