Comments:

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT for the benefit of this nation’s working women BPW Canada urges the Federal Government to encourage national unity by publicly announcing in clearly defined terms by TV, Radio, Press, Mail and other means of communication that national unity includes the use of Canadian currency, Canadian seaports, Canadian railroads, Canadian forestry services, Canadian pension plans, Canadian old age assistance, Canadian employment and welfare funds, Canadian health benefits, Canadian day care assistance, Canadian military defense in case of attack, and so on, that withdrawal of any province from Canadian union will cancel all such supplemental assistance, since such action would be viewed as highly detrimental to the well-being of the country.
