THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the minimum wage for men and women be brought into effect so that women who do work of the same quality and quantity as men in the same department be paid the same rate of wage.FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT the various Provincial Governments consider very carefully the possibility of raising the minimum wage by at least the amount recorded by the Dominion Government as the increase in the cost of living since the basic period of August 1939, which stands at the present time at 18.4%.
