THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada urges the Government of Canada to increase the Guaranteed Income Supplement to insure that all eligible Canadians have income up to the poverty line; andFURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada requests the Government of Canada to provide an allowance equal to the combined Old Age Security/Guaranteed Income Supplement (OAS/GIS) to both men and women over age 60 where need is established.
