THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that BPW Canada urges the Government of Canada to immediately amend the Criminal Code of Canada to specifically prohibit surreptitious videotaping of individuals in situations where the victims have a reasonable expectation of privacy. This legislation could be fashioned after similar prohibitions of audio taping of conversations (Criminal Code Section 184: Interception of Communications).
