Basic Exemption Under Income Tax – 1966

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT CFBPWC ask the Government of Canada to increase the basic federal income tax exemptions for single persons (male and female) from $1,000 to $1,500; andFURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT the CFBPWC ask the Government of Canada to grant additional relief in the amount of $500 for those single persons maintaining a dwelling.
