THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada requests the Government of Canada to amend the Unemployment Insurance Act and Regulations to include the date of adoption within the definition of date of birth and commence payments to the adoptive mother of a child under the age of one year in the same proportion as the natural mother at that date.
