Luncheon Speaker: Wura Dasylva is a corporate lawyer and partner in the Regina office of Miller Thomson LLP, a national business law firm. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, corporate governance, and complex commercial transactions. She advises clients on structuring and negotiating purchase and sale transactions and provides strategic counsel on navigating sophisticated commercial and financial arrangements.

Wura regularly acts for financial institutions, private lenders, and corporate borrowers on regulatory compliance, loan documentation, and financing solutions for acquisitions, expansions, and major projects. Her experience spans a broad range of industries, including banking and financial services, real estate, agribusiness, automotive, retail, and hospitality.

Originally from Nigeria, Wura holds an LL.B. from the University of Ibadan and an LL.M. from the University of Manitoba, bringing an international and cross‑jurisdictional perspective to Canadian business law. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2014 and the Saskatchewan Bar in 2018, and in 2023, she was named Partner at Miller Thomson LLP.

Beyond her legal practice, Wura is deeply committed to community leadership and governance. She has served on several non‑profit and community boards. She currently sits on the Board of the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce, where she served as its 139th Chair in 2025.

Passionate about mentorship and representation, Wura actively supports the next generation of professionals through formal and informal mentorship as well as speaking engagements. She has called Regina home for over a decade. In her spare time, she loves to read and travel.
