President’s Message

Welcome to BPW Canada 2024-2026!

As your new president, I come openly to you, and I am proud to represent all our members across Canada. I’m happy to lead a team of Business and Professional Women that can make a huge impact on anything we set our minds to. We have this incredible organization to make a difference across Canada for Women.

Let’s be seen, let’s be heard. Let’s be the change! Let’s accept the challenges – straight forward and unafraid. We have the tools to influence the powers that be, through lobbying, writing briefs and reaching out to all our levels of government. I want every member of BPW Canada to feel included, by being seen and being valued.

I want you to have a sense of belonging and being heard. Everything I do as your President; I will do to the best of my ability and with intention. The decisions that I will make along with your new Board, will be done with thought and purpose; and having our eyes on the desired result. With faith and enthusiasm extraordinary things can happen.

I want to focus on strengthening our organization, by supporting our clubs, our members and all women. Let’s start showing women support in the business and professional circles and the political arenas. Let’s keep building on the previous good work that BPW Canada has done.

I’m excited to be your President for the next two years. I believe in what we do. My job for the next two years is to do what is best for BPW Canada, which in turn becomes what is best for our members.

I know that we can’t be all things to all people. If we try to do this, it’s proof we don’t have a clear view of our future. The future of BPW Canada comes from us, it does not come to us! You the members will be the eyes and ears of BPW Canada. My inbox will never be too full to hear from you, nor will my voicemail for phone calls or texts from you. Each one of you are a hidden treasure with hidden talents. So how can we all make BPW Canada great? Let’s start with open communication, being on the same page when we tell others about the Business and Professional Women’s Clubs of Canada who we are and what we do. Let’s be the club/organization that everyone wants to know about and join.

We have some great things coming your way. We have some great opportunities to represent BPW Canada. I will be attending our International Congress in November as one of BPW Canada’s delegates as well as be in attendance in New York at meetings and workshops at the 69th UN CSW.
You will receive quarterly newsletters, letters from my desk, a speaker/workshop (for members and guests), with our first one coming out in November and I am working on also having a quarterly presentation from your board members.

I want to finish up my first President’s message with this:
The Canadian Federation links business and professional women across Canada to
provide support for and recognize achievements and work towards equality of
opportunity and economic security for all women.

Let’s be Business and Professional Women.
Let’s Be the Voice, Be the Change, and Be the Difference.
