THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada urges the Government of Canada to give leadership to business and industry by amending the Canadian Human Rights Act, 1977, to require the Federal Public Service Commission and companies under the federal jurisdiction to undertake Affirmation Action Programs, including compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Value provisions of the Canadian Human Rights Act, 1977, Section 11 (Equal Pay); andFURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada requests that guidelines be established by the Canadian Human Rights Commission for the implementation of such programs and for regular reports from employers on programs and results.
