THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada makes representations to the Federal Government recommending that the survivorship provisions under the proposed Canada Pensions Act not only be broadened to include survivorship pensions for orphans and to disabled persons, but also to extend survivorship pensions to dependants of all contributors, such dependants being as defined under the Income Tax Act, and where there are no such dependants to provide for the return to the estate of a deceased contributor of a lump sum based on some portion of contributions.(See also Resolution 1966 – 4, following).
