THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada requests the Government of Canada to develop and implement programs to provide technological and architectural mechanisms to enable disabled persons to pursue the activities of daily life in a fashion as near as possible to the norm, andFURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada requests the Government of Canada to offer income tax incentives to the private sector to offset alternations to premises needed to accommodate disabled persons in public transportation, in housing, in access to public buildings and in the work-place, and further request the Government of Canada to provide adequate training of personnel to assist the private sector in integration of the disabled in the community, both socially and economically, and promote Affirmative Action programs in both the public and private industry to employ disabled persons.
