THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the BPW Canada meeting in Convention in August 1968, reaffirm its submission to the Royal Commission on the Status of Women that a permanent commission or board on the Status of Women in Canada be constituted for the following purposes:to give leadership and encouragement to women as they seek recognition in new fields of endeavour;to assist actively in the enforcement of rights already achieved by women in the employment field, such as minimum wages and equal pay for equal work;to seek promotional opportunities for women;to consider having complaints of discrimination on the basis of sex alone.
