THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada makes representation to the Government of Canada recommending that the survivorship provisions under the Canada Pension Plan be extended to include survivorship pensions to dependants of all contributors, such dependants being defined under the Federal Income Tax Act, and where there are no such dependants, to provide for the return to the estate of a deceased contributor of a lump sum equal to at least fifty per cent of the contributions made by and on behalf of the deceased contributor.
