Splitting of CPP in Divorce Cases – 1994

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada requests the Minister of Health Canada to make it mandatory that all Provinces and Territories Divorce Courts automatically forward divorce records to C.P.P. for credit splitting.FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada urges its Provincial Organizations to petition their respective Provincial Governments to enact legislation to:1. Bar any trade-off of C.P.P. credit splitting rights, except for property or assets of equal value.2. Require Provincial Divorce Courts to automatically forward divorce records to C.P.P. for credit splitting.
