THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs urges the Government of Canada to delete from the Unemployment Insurance Act of 1979 provision that excludes as claimants for unemployment insurance all persons who work less than twenty hours a week as this provision creates hardship for many people, mostly women, whose income is close to or below the poverty line.
