THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada urges the Government of Canada to make ongoing financial commitments to the provincial governments in order to:1. Ensure that shelters for battered women are adequately funded so that these shelters can be operated efficiently; and2. Promote the construction and/or acquisition of safe affordable housing for women in need.
