THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada urges its Provincial Organizations to petition their respective Provincial Governments to enact legislation establishing Canada-wide standards and regulations for occupational pension plans as recommended by the Parliamentary Task Force on Pension Reform 1984 to provide:1. Vesting of benefits after two years employment (Recommendation 6.1).2. Portability of pension benefits through creation of a Registered Pension Account (Recommendation 6.2 and 6.4).3. Equal pension benefits for males and females retiring under identical circumstances (Recommendation 6.16).4. Indexed pensions as an option (Recommendations 5.5 and 5.8).5. On dissolution of marriage, entitlement of a spouse to one-half share of pension credits and retirement of savings of the other spouse (Recommendation 6.8).6. Mandatory joint life/last survivor benefits for all occupational pension plans and retirement savings plans (Recommendation 6.9).
