Mandatory Gender Sensitivity Training for Judges – 1994

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs reaffirm, modify and resubmit its Resolution 1992-10, Ref.:600.10.44.FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada petitions the Government of Canada to establish compulsory training courses on gender-based social and economic inequities and gender bias; these courses to be conducted by trained professionals in the fields of sexual assault, family abuse and violence against women and include input from women who have experiences these assaults.FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT these courses be compulsory for all federally appointed judges.
