THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada requests the Government of Canada to establish and maintain a CANADIAN WOMEN�S RESOURCE CENTRE under a qualified woman as Director to:a) Collect, cross reference and house archival material on Canadian women and their activities in national affairs, such material to include: statistics, biographies, writings, speeches, books, crafts, films, tapes, photographs, pictures, stamps, coins, busts, plaques, etc. Documents relating to women’s associations, directories, women’s movements and crusades. Information on women’s development, activities and status in domestic, social, racial, ethnic, community, regional, religious, musical, artistic, educational, scientific, economic, political, financial and government matters; andb) operate as a centre for international, national and provincial exchange of information on Canadian women; andc) provide space and facilities for individuals and groups to organize exhibits and view films related to women’s activities.FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada urges the Provincial Organizations of BPW to requests their respective Provincial Governments to observe 1975 as International Women’s Year and by establishing Provincial Women’s Resource Centres for broadly similar purposes in provincial matters, and with such conference facilities as the Provincial Organization deems necessary.
