Maternity Leave and Benefits – 1968

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada urges the Government of Canada to enact legislation to provide for adequate maternity leave, maternity benefits, protection of employment both in seniority and reinstatement, and protection of the health of women workers during the maternity period in fields over which it has authority; FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada requests the Government of Canada to ratify the International Labour Organization Convention on Maternity Protection.
