THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT because of the unusual unemployment situation prevalent and because of the experience of the Vancouver Business and Professional Women�s Club and social agencies, we recommend that BPW Canada in convention should discuss 1) what responsibility a local Business and Professional Women�s Club should assume during a period of great unemployment, and 2) what form this responsibility should take. FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clubs comprising the Canadian Federation in convention in Montreal, send a resolution to the Dominion Government earnestly urging that in any forthcoming plans for emergency work to relieve the unusual unemployment situation, the claims and needs of unemployed women workers of all classes, including Business and Professional women, be considered in reasonable proportion with those of unemployed men.
