THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada urges the federal Department of Labour to expand its services to provide additional facilities for the study and analysis of: 1. Earnings, hours and conditions of employment of women workers; trends in women’s employment; supply and demand for women workers; training needs of women workers; job outlook for women in new occupations; effects of increasing mechanization of the employment of women; 2. Legislation as it affects women workers and their civil and political status; 3. Problems affecting women who are self-supporting, who are workers and home-makers, who are in special groups–older women, married women. Also, to provide facilities to make findings of such studies available to interested persons or groups.
