THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs request the Government of Canada to amend the Income Tax Act in order that the marital exemption of the spouse be reduced by the amount of the dependant spouse’s earnings in excess of the sum of $950 per annum instead of the sum of $250 per annum as at present.
