THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada:1. Commends the Government of Canada for commissioning on October, 1974, Mr. Justice E.D. Bayda of Regina as a one-man inquiry into troubled industrial relations in the Vancouver grain handling businesses:2. Urges the implementing of the recommendations in his report of July 1975, to appoint a federal overseer when strike or lockout action is imminent, with power to mediate and/or conciliate further;3. Commend the Government of Canada for appointing a Labour Relations Council in 1975 to improve the machinery of collective bargaining.
