THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT BPW Canada petitions the Government of Canada for a change in the Estate Tax Act so that death duties levied on pensions payable to survivors be calculated on an actuarial basis at the same time as on other assets but that their payment be on the basis of deductions at the source throughout the period during which the pension is paid.
