Who We Are

BPW Canada

The Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW Canada) is a non-sectarian, non-profit, and non-partisan organization that works to improve the economic, political, social and employment conditions of working women.

BPW Canada is a Founding Federation of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW International). BPW International has Consultative Status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

BPW Membership

become a BPW Member

Clubs provide a “training ground” for developing leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment, allowing members to build networks and create lasting and supportive friendships at all levels of BPW. Members participate in a range of activities that lead to personal and professional development and career advancement.

A member of a local club is automatically a member of the district, provincial, national and international organizations. She is entitled to attend all BPW events.

Advocacy

BPW Canada

BPW Canada is recognized for its many projects, from the Women's Empowerment Principles to Equal Pay awareness campaigns and annual submissions of Briefs to the Government including the need to declare a National Equal Pay Day, the fight against human trafficking and being a voice for the Indigenous people.

Briefs result from Resolutions, developed mainly by local clubs, and passed at a National AGM/Convention that contain directives to urge the federal government and/or as appropriate specific ministries to take some sort of action.
